Flat Foot
Flat foot is not as simple as just a "flat foot". In this case, there is a combination of a "flattened" or insufficient longitudinal arch with a pronation deformity in the ankles. As you can see it is more pronounced in the left ankle. The suggested treatment in this case is a pair sturdy custom made EVA insoles. The mirror examination pictured here is more of a way to visualize the problem. A complete examination and evaluation includes a computer scan, high speed camera video uptake while running as well as manual exam. In this specific case we found that especially the left ankle deformity was quiet rigid and we could not achieve complete normalization. However, the patients ankle and foot pain was dramatically reduced already at the 2 week follow up.
